The Emerald and Diamond Brooch-Pendant is designed as a flower-head below a garland motif and between a pair of confronted scrolls, set throughout with rose, brilliant- and eight-cut diamonds, supporting a large pears-shaped cabochon emerald and a smaller pear-shaped diamond drop of garland design made ca 1910 with a similarly shaped swing centre and an additional rose diamond fitting, 19th century. The pendant was bequeathed to an descendent of hers, who sold it in 1992.
The
emerald pendant resembles work done by Köchert as the design is very, very similar to designs found in the Köchert archive sketch book.
A Diamond Riviere probably smaller or similar, to that above, was given to Princess Marie Louise, by Baron and Baroness Schröder as wedding present.
