Das Medaillon rechts oben wurde der Prinzessin von den Brautjungfern
geschenkt zur Erinnerung an die Hochzeit mit gravierten Namen und
Jahreszahl.
Der Diamant Anhänger mit einer Locke und "L" graviert
wurde von der Herzoginwitwe von Argyll als Geschenk zur Trauung überreicht.
Marmor Halskette-Geschenk der Leute von Tyree
Es war ein Entwurf von Prinzessin Louise und die Kugeln wurden von
dem einzigartig in der Gegend von Tyree abgebauten Marmor geschliffen.
Der Schmuck ist aus der Werkstatt der Firma Mackay, Cunningham &
Co., Princes Street, Edinburgh

Above is Princess Louise, Queen Victoria’s sixth child as she appeared in her later years; her husband the Duke of Lorne is pictured in the other portrait. The locket on top was designed by the Princess and a was gift to her bridesmaids. It was made of “gold and crystal. In the centre of the crystal is a blue ribbon, with the name “Louise, 1871”, and surrounded by a wreath of roses, and in colours a Royal crown surmounts the circle, and halfway around is a band of fine pearls, also at bottom. These were manufactued by Messrs. London and Ryder.”
The Diamond Locket was given by the Dowager Duchess of Argyll.
Marble necklace—gift of the people of Tyree
It was made from a design by Princess Louise and the balls were of marble unique to the district of Tyree. It came from the workshop of Messrs. Mackay, Cunningham & Co., of Princes Street, Edinburgh. The engraved plaque was recently in a mixed lot offered at auction. .
