Brautgeschenke an die Erzherzogin Elisabeth von Österreich - Gräfin Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems im Jahr 1912:
Countess Leonie von Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems and Count Caspar Matuschka tied the knot on June 22, 2024 in Hohenems.
A broidered bridal look is striking, the exclusive guest list is also a highlight.
In beautiful weather and with a broad smile on her face, Countess Leonie von Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems walks through her hometown of Hohenems on the arm of her father Franz Clemens Graf von Waldburg-Zeil on the way to marry her fiancé Caspar Matuschka in the parish church of St. Karl Borromäus.
The bride walks to the church in a floor-length dress made of strong lace and a light train to marry her husband Count Caspar Matuschka. Like her sister before her, she wears a long veil over a tiara set with diamonds a heirloom jewel of her grand-grand mother Archduchess Elisabeth of Austria, details see below,
Her wedding dress looks particularly good in the sunshine.

The history of the Waldburg-Zeil family from Hohenems is closely linked to the former imperial family from Austria. The grandfather of the bride's father Franz Clemens, Georg Graf Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems, married Elisabeth Franziska of Austria-Tuscany, the granddaughter of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth of Austria, and is thus a direct descendant. However, since the monarchy in Austria was dissolved in 1918, Countess Leonie of Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems does not have the same privileges as other members of royal families in Europe.
One of the bridal gifts to Archduchess Elisabeth of Austria - Countess Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems in 1912:
.....One of the most splendid and at the same time most precious gifts that Archduchess Elisabeth Franziska was given on the occasion of her tomorrow's wedding came from the Emperor. The work of art executed in the studio of the court and chamber jeweler Köchert consists of a necklace composed entirely of the most beautiful diamonds in charmingly shaped lines. It is made in its individual parts in bow form. The individual stitches are held together by diamond connections. A magnificent, large, blue-and-white solitaire is set in each bow. The most valuable piece of the necklace is attached to the hanger below, a large, also bluewhite solitaire in teardrop shape. The wonderful jewelry rests in a tastefully furnished case.
