Herzog Wilhelm (II.) von Urach, Graf von Württemberg 1864; † 1928, ab 1869 Chef des Hauses Urach,er war der älteste Sohn von Wilhelm (I.) Herzog von Urach, Graf von Württemberg, und dessen zweiter Frau, der Prinzessin Florestine von Monaco, Tochter Fürst Florestans von Monaco.
In erster Ehe heiratete er am 4. Juli 1892 Amalie Maria Herzogin in Bayern. Einziges Kind der Prinzessin Sophie war die jüngste Tochter von König Johann I. von Sachsen und Prinzessin Amalie Auguste von Bayern.
Mit ihr hatte er neun Kinder:

- Elisabeth (1894–1962), verheiratet mit Prinz Karl von Liechtenstein, einem Onkel Franz Josephs II. von Liechtenstein
- Karola (1896–1980)
- Wilhelm (1897–1957), verheiratet in morganatischer Ehe mit Elisabeth
- Karl Gero (1899–1981), Nachfolger als Chef des Hauses, verheiratet mit Gabriele, Gräfin von Waldburg-Zeil-Trauchburg, einer Tochter von Fürst Georg von Waldburg-Zeil

- Albrecht (1903–1969), in erster Ehe verheiratet
- Eberhard (1907–1969), verheiratet mit Iniga Prinzessin von Thurn und Taxis

Amalie starb 1912 im Kindbett. Am 26. November 1924 heiratete Wilhelm in zweiter Ehe Wiltrud Marie Alix Prinzessin von Bayern, Tochter Ludwigs III. von Bayern. Diese Ehe blieb kinderlos.
Die Saphir - Diamanten Blumen und Blüten Parure, bestehend aus einem Halsband mit Anhänger aus Saphir und Diamanten, einer grossen Brosche und dem passenden Diadem, ist wohl um 1840 entstanden und könnte evtl schon von der Elisabeth von Bayern stammen.
Die Saphir Diamant Tiara hat eine Grösse von L50mm W160mm, Brosche L90mm W130mm, aus Gold und Silber,
Duke Wilhelm (II) of Urach, Count of Württemberg (1864–1928), became Head of the House of Urach in 1869. He was the eldest son of Wilhelm (I), Duke of Urach, Count of Württemberg, and his second wife, Princess Florestine of Monaco, daughter of Prince Florestan of Monaco.
On 4 July 1892, he married, as his first wife, Amalie Maria, Duchess in Bavaria. Amalie was the only child of Princess Sophie of Saxony, the youngest daughter of King John I of Saxony and Princess Amalie Auguste of Bavaria.
Duke Wilhelm and Duchess Amalie had nine children:

Wilhelm (1897–1957), who contracted a morganatic marriage with Elisabeth
Karl Gero (1899–1981), who succeeded his father as Head of the House of Urach and married Gabriele, Countess of Waldburg-Zeil-Trauchburg, daughter of Prince Georg of Waldburg-Zeil

Duchess Amalie died in childbirth in 1912. On 26 November 1924, Duke Wilhelm married, as his second wife, Princess Wiltrud Marie Alix of Bavaria, daughter of King Ludwig III of Bavaria. The marriage remained childless.
Princess Margarethe of Urach and the Royal Sapphire Parure
Princess Margarethe of Urach, Countess of Württemberg (1901–1975), pictured above, was one of the daughters of Duke Wilhelm and Duchess Amalie and was photographed wearing the historic sapphire jewels of her family.
The Sapphire and Diamond Flowers and Blossoms Parure consists of a necklace with a sapphire and diamond pendant, a large brooch and the matching tiara.
The parure is believed to date from around 1840. It is possible that the jewels may already have belonged to an earlier generation of the Bavarian royal family, perhaps Elisabeth of Bavaria; however, this provenance has not been established with certainty.
The sapphire and diamond tiara measures approximately 50 mm in height and 160 mm in width, while the matching brooch measures approximately 90 mm by 130 mm. The jewels are mounted in gold and silver.
