Großfürstin Marie Georgievna Romanov,wurde in der Familie Minnie oder griechische Minnie genannt.. Das führte dazu dass Schmuckstücke der Großfürstin, der Zarin Marie Feodorovna zugeordnet wurden, die ebenfalls Minnie, gerufen wurde.
Dieser wundervolle Faberge-Uhrenanhänger war ein Geschenk von Großherzog George, im Juli 1896 Prinzessin Maria, Marie von Griechenland, als er um Ihre Hand anhielt. Eine Zeichnung dieses besonderen Stücks ist im Schmuckalbum, den Inventarbüchern der Großfürstin Marie Georgievna, von ihr beschrieben und gezeichnet, erhalten.
Diamantschleife mit Rubin in der Mitte, Diamantgliederketten, Rubinbirnenform, Diamantherz, zentriert zwei große Diamanten in Gelb und Braun. St. Petersburg-Markenzeichen, Faberge-Markierungen und eingravierte original Faberge-Inventarnummer.
Jedes Jahr machte er ihr zwei Mal von 1895 bis 1900 einen Heiratsantrag, den sie immer ablehnte, fünf Jahre lang, und immer brachte er ein ganz besonderes Geschenk mit, wie diese Faberge-Diamantbrosche.
Auf der linken Seite ein weiteres Geschenk von ihm, im August 1896 ein Uhrenanhänger mit Doppelschleife aus Diamant und Gold, rosa Emaille und Diamanten an den Flanken und seitlich mit Diamanten, Diamanten in den Kettengliedern.

Grand Duchess Marie Georgievna Romanov, was called Minnie or Greek Minnie in the family. This led to jewelry belonging to the Grand Duchess, Tsarina Marie Feodorovna, who was also called Minnie.
This wonderful Faberge watch pendant, was given by Grand Duke George for proposal to Princess Maria, Marie of Greece in July 1896 a drawing of this particular piece in the jewelry album, inventory books of the Grand Duchess Marie Georgievna.

Every year he proposed to her two times from 1895 till 1900, five years long, and always he brought a very special gift with him, like this Faberge diamond brooch.
On the left side another present from him, in August 1896 a watch pendant with double bow in diamond and gold, pink enamel and diamond ankle, souroundings with diamonds, diamonds in the chain links.
On top of the smaller sketch - "From his Imperial Highness Grand Duke Georg Michailovitch", the engagementring with an ruby and diamond,on the bottom we see a brooch, which the Grand Duchess wore also in the picture on her neck, of two pearls and three diamonds between, given to Marie Georgievna in July 1896, from her future husband.
