Formerly in the collection of Queen Isabelle II of Spain 1830-1904 , the ruby diamond parure was purchased by Archduke and Archduchess Frédéric of Austria.
Princess Isabella Hedwig Franziska Natalie of Croÿ 27 February 1856 – 5 September 1931 was the daughter of Rudolf, Duke of Croÿ, and his wife, Princess Natalie of Ligne married Archduke Friedrich, Duke of Teschen on 8 October 1878. They had eight daughters and one son,
There is an excerpt from the inventory of Archduchess Marie Anne of Austria, Princess Elie de Bourbon Parme, one of the daughter of the couple:
"Garniture de rubis composant une broche gros rubis entouré de gros diamants, et de boucles d'oreilles, gros rubis entouré de gros diamants. Héritage de ma mère. Provenant d'une vente de la Reine Isabelle d'Espagne".

Each earring set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 4.52 and 5.05 carats respectively, within a frame of cushion-shaped diamonds, the brooch set with a similarly shaped ruby weighing 23.76 carats, surrounded by circular-cut diamonds, detachable brooch fitting, chain, fitted case stamped Hübner, the brooch modified at a later date, the rubies are all of Burmese origin.
The ruby diamond parure was left to her daughter Duchess Maria Anna, probably after the death of the Archduchess. It was later seen on the daughter Archduchess Marie Christine of Austria, which was the sister of Alice Duchess of Calabria, the last owner.
