Die Smaragd Juwelen der französischen Kaiserin Marie-Louise|Kaiserlicher Schmuck - Napoleon Bonaparte

Anlässlich Ihrer Hochzeit bekam Marie Louise von Napoleon die grosse Smaragd Diamant Parure geschenkt, gearbeitet wurde sie von François-Joseph Nitot, Hofjuwelier des Kaisers.

Das prächtige Collier üppig besetzt mit 32 Smaragden, 874 Brillanten und 264 Diamanten-Rosen.
Der mittlere Smaragd von 13,75 Carat und 10 weiter Smaragde von zusammen 138 Carat, komplettieren ein wahrlich kaiserliches Juwel.
In den beiden Ohrsteckern sind 2 grosse Smaragde von 45,20 Carat gefasst, sowie 4 weitere Smaragde, 60 Brillanten und 48 Diamant-Rosen.

Das Hochzeitsgeschenk Napoleons soll in der Appollon Gallerie, im Louvre demnächst ausgestellt, allerdings nur das Halsband und die Ohrringe (kosteten € 3,7 Mio).
Die Smaragd Tiara gehört dem Smithsonian Institute of Washington und war Eigentum von Marjorie Merryweather Post, die die Smaragde gegen Türkise austauschte.

Kaiserin Marie-Louise nahm die Juwelen mit ins Exil, sie waren bis 1957 im Besitz der Habsburger Familie.

 

 

The Emerald Parure of Marie-Louise Empress of France| Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleons wedding gift to empress Marie-Louise has been acquired by the Louvre Museum and will be by displayed in the Appollon gallery for its reopening next november. Only the necklace and the earrings could have been acquired (3,7 M €). The tiara is displayed in the Smithsonian Institute of Washington and was the former property of Marjorie Merryweather Post who altered it by replacing the emeralds by turquoises.
Empress Marie-Louie took these jewels with her when she went on to exile in 1814 and they stayed in the Habsburg family until 1953.

 

La parure de l'impératrice Marie-Louise| Emeraudes Imperiales Napoleon Bonaparte


La prestigieuse parure, composée d'un collier et d'une paire de boucles d'oreilles en émeraudes, offerte par Napoléon Ier à l'impératrice Marie-Louise à l'occasion de leur mariage en 1810.

L'acquisition de ces bijoux a été réalisée auprès d'un collectionneur privé pour la somme de 3,7 MEUR, grâce à la contribution de la Société des Amis du Louvre pour un montant de 1,5 MEUR, complétée par un apport du Fonds du Patrimoine de 1,2 MEUR et, pour la première fois, d'un financement du musée du Louvre à hauteur de 1 MEUR sur ses ressources propres.

Exécutée par François-Joseph Nitot, joaillier de l'Empereur, cette parure comprenait à l'origine un diadème (aujourd'hui conservé à Washington/Smithonian Institution), un peigne (depuis transformé), un collier et une paire de boucles d'oreilles. Ces derniers sont parvenus au Louvre dans un état exceptionnel.

L'impératrice Marie-Louise avait emporté la parure à son départ de France en 1814. Légués à l'un de ses cousins, le grand-duc Léopold II de Toscane, les bijoux devaient rester dans la maison des Habsbourg jusqu'en 1953, date à laquelle ils furent vendus puis dispersés.

Le collier comprend 32 émeraudes, 874 brillants et 264 diamants en rose. L'émeraude centrale pèse 13,75 carats et les 10 émeraudes en poire 138 carats au total. Les boucles d'oreilles comportent 2 émeraudes en poire d'un poids de 45,20 carats, 4 autres émeraudes, 60 brillants et 48 diamants en rose.

La parure rejoindra les diamants de la Couronne et les autres bijoux historiques qui vont prochainement retrouver leur place dans la galerie d'Apollon au musée du Louvre. La galerie, conçue pour Louis XIV, dont la décoration s'est poursuivie jusqu'au XIXe siècle, rouvrira fin novembre 2004 à l'issue de sa restauration.
