Die auf Federn und Spiralen, montierten Briar Rosen- Rosenknospen und Jasminblüten und Jasmin-Blätter Motive vibrierten leicht und blitzten in der Abendsonne. Es war ein Schimmern und Funkeln von zauberhafter Schönheit. Man nennt diese Art von Diadem ein "Tremblant".
Es wurde ursprünglich für
Königin Karoline von Neapel, einer Schwester Napoleons gefertigt.
Oben im Bild sieht man ein Gemälde mit einem ähnlichen Blumen als Kranz im Haar von Königin Karoline, evtl war dies eine Anregung oder sie liebte diese Blütenzusammenstellung.
The tiara consists of two large spray of wild roses, both in full bloom and in bud with leaves and jasmine flowers meeting at a large open wild rose in the centre all open set with diamonds, mounted on trembler springs.
Flowers, fruit, briar roses and jasmine leaves give the illusion of being covered with dew.
The naturalist impression is enhanced by the tiny springs of the trembleuse setting on the flowers.
The diadem with briar roses and jasmine flowers made for Queen Caroline of Naples - sister of Emperor Napoleon - of gold, silver and diamonds from Jean-Baptiste Fossin 1786-1848, which is in the Chaumet Archives attributed to him.
Above the Queen of Naples pictured with a wreath of natural flowers, which is very similar to the diamond tiara.
Probably it was without a frame, when it was acquired by Francis Russell, 7th Duke of Bedford, for his wife Anna-Maria.
