Eicheln in Smaragd und Eichenblätter in Diamant | Diadem der Grossherzogin Maria Pavlovna Großfürstin von Russland|Imperiale Juwelen Sachsen-Weimar

Aparte Brosche in Form von 2 Eichenblättern mit Eicheln, die Eicheln besetzt mit zwei feinen kolumbianischen Smaragd-Tropfen von zus. ca. 5.60 ct und ganz ausgefasst mit ca. 120 Altschliff-Diamanten von zus. ca. 9.50 ct, sowie zahlreichen Diamantrosen von zus. ca. 0.50 ct. Sie wurde 2014 in Zürich für 60 000 CHF versteigert.

Maria Pawlowna Romanova 1786 - 1859, Grossfürstin von Russland, war die erste Besitzerin dieser Eichenlaub-Brosche.

Dieses Einzelteil, in Form von Eichenblättern und Eicheln aus Smaragden, waren Teil eines Bandeau bzw Eichenlaub-Diadems, das auch als Girlande, entlang des Decolletes oder in einzelnen Broschen, wie auch als Devante de Corsage, getragen werden konnte.

Das ursprüngliche gewaltige Schmuckstück hatte achtzehn Smaragd-Eicheln und sechsundzwanzig unterschiedliche grosse Eichenblätter.
Der größte Teil der Aussteuer wurde von Duval in St. Petersburg um 1800 -1804, für die Großfürstin, angefertigt.

Das Schmuckstück kam durch ihre Hochzeit, mit dem Erbgrossherzog Karl-Friedrich von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach 1804 von St. Petersburg nach Weimar.
Karl-Friedrich war der älteste Sohn des berühmten Goethe-Freundes Grossherzog Karl-August. Bis zu seiner Thronbesteigung verbrachte das Paar viel Zeit in St. Petersburg.

Im Erbgang blieb die Eichenlaub-Brosche in der Familie bis zur letzten Besitzerin, Elisabeth von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach, die 2010 verstarb. Der Hauptteil der russisch imperialen Schmuckstücke, gingen im 2. Weltkrieg verloren.

Die Juwelen wurden vor dem Evakuieren fotografiert, alle Juwelen der Familie, lagen auf einem Tisch von 6 Metern, völlig bedeckt mit Schmuck und Juwelen, so die Nachfahrin, die Urgroßmutter hatte mehr Schmuck als die Königin von England.

A distinctive brooch in the form of two oak leaves with acorns, the acorns set with two fine Colombian emerald drops of approx. 5.60 ct in total and fully set with approx. 120 old cut diamonds of approx. 9.50 ct in total, as well as numerous diamond roses of approx 0.50 ct. It was auctioned in Zurich in 2014 for CHF 60,000.



Maria Pavlovna Romanova, 1786 - 1859, Grand Duchess of Russia, was the first owner of this brooch.

This single piece, in the form of oak leaves and acorns made of emeralds, was part of a bandeau or tiara that could also be worn as a garland or in individual brooches, as well as a devante de corsage.

The original massive piece of jewelry had eighteen emerald acorns and twenty-six different sized oak leaves. Most of the trousseau was made by Duval in St. Petersburg for the Grand Duchess in 1800.


The piece of jewelery came from St. Petersburg to Weimar through her wedding to Hereditary Grand Duke Karl-Friedrich von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach in 1804.
Karl-Friedrich was the eldest son of the famous friend of Goethe, Grand Duke Karl-August. The couple spent a lot of time in St. Petersburg until he ascended the throne.

The brooch remained in the family until the last owner, Elisabeth von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach, died in 2010. Most of the Russian imperial jewelry was lost in World War II.

The jewels were photographed before the evacuation, all the jewels of the family were lying on a table of 6 meters, completely covered with jewelry and jewels. According to the descendant, the great-grandmother had more jewelry than the Queen of England.
