Die Korsagebrosche der Zarin
Alexandra Feodorovna hat schon eine kleinere, sehr ähnliche Form
als sie die Zarin trug.
Grossfürstin Marie Pavlovna beauftragte Cartier 1910, die Agraffe
zu überarbeiten und prächtiger auszustatten, die Entwurfszeichnung
ist vorhanden und im Bild rechts unten zu sehen, die Rechnung von Cartier
gibt Aufschluss über die Zusammensetzung und den Gebrauch der angelieferten
Edelsteine.
Für das neue Juwel wurden sage und schreibe:
955 Diamanten von zus 139 ct
2 Briolette Diamanten von 18 ct
4 Brillanten 23,5ct
234 Diamantrosen
1 Saphir von 162 ct im Zentrum
78 Saphire von 112 ct verwendet, eine unglaubliche Pracht!
The Sapphires Agraffe of Grand Duchess Marie Pavlovna
The stomacher was also made by Cartier, Marie Pavlovna ordered it in 1910
using old imperial family stones and pieces from the possession of Empress
Alexandra Feodorovna the wife of Nikolas I. to build up this extraordinary
jewel with glamour. On the right side above we can see the different sizes
and old gems,on the sketch from Cartier.
Cartier used this gems for the jewel (from the invoice):
955 diamonds of 139 ct
2 briolette diamonds of 18 ct
4 brillantes 23,5ct
234 diamond in rose-cut
1 sapphire of 162ct as center
78 sapphires of total 112 ct
