Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna the elder, Grand Duchess Vladimir of Russia seen with her important court collier with Romanov Sapphire, as cluster sourrounded with diamonds and spaces with saphire cabochon and diamonds, as well as round diamond sapphire earrings.
The necklace survived the revolution, but was missing the central sapphire drop when valued by Cartier. The sapphire necklace, without the pear shaped large sapphire, is still in existence in Germany.
The tiara became the Cartier Sapphire Kokoshnik, and was broken up sometime after Princess Ileana had to sell it in about the early 1950's after it was sold back to Cartier, and the large centerstone was broken and lost, when it would later take out for resetting.
