Dazu gehört diese Diamant- und Platinbrosche in Form eines silbernen Farns, ein wichtiges neuseeländisches Zeichen, im Neuseeländisches Wappen findet man die Zweige des Silberfarn. Es war ein Weihnachtsgeschenk der „Frauen von Auckland“ an die Königin während der Commonwealth-Tour 1953-4. Aus 156 Brillanten und 24 Baquette-Diamanten.
Die Größe der Diamant- und Platinbrosche beträgt 7,3 x 3 cm.
Königin Elizabeth II. trug es häufig, siehe oben im Bild, und sie lieh es der Herzogin von Cambridge, als der Herzog und die Herzogin von Cambridge 2014 Neuseeland besuchten.
The Queen often wears brooches that represent the emblems of Commonwealth countries while visiting or meeting their representatives.
These include this diamond and platinum brooch in the form of a silver fern, an important New Zealand emblem, it was a Christmas gift to The Queen, from the ‘Women of Auckland’ during the Commonwealth Tour of 1953-4. The silver fern (a species of tree fern, Cyathea dealbata) has been an important, though unofficial, national New Zealand emblem, made of 156 brillants and 24 diamonds in baquettes.
The size of the Diamond and Platinum brooch is 7.3 x 3 cm.
Queen Elizabeth II wore it frequently, see above in the picture and she lent it to the Duchess of Cambridge, when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit New Zealand in 2014, see in the picture below.
