Smaragd Diamant und Perlen Diadem| Landgräfin von Hessen |Royal Emerald and Diamond Tiara Princess Tatjana of Hesse   Prinzessin und Landgräfin Tatjana von Hessen, Prinzessin zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, oben im Bild, war die Ehefrau von Moritz Friedrich Karl Emmanuel Humbert Prinz und Landgraf von Hessen, Chef des Hauses Hessen. ( durch Verkürzung des bürgerlich-rechtlichen Namens unter alleiniger Verwendung des Namensbestandteils andgraf auf und wurde daher als Moritz Landgraf von Hessen bekannt). Das Haus der ehemaligen Großherzöge von Hessen und bei Rhein Linie Hessen-Darmstadt hatte den Familiennamen „Prinz von Hessen und bei Rhein“. Deren letzter Agnat Ludwig von Hessen und bei Rhein und dessen Ehefrau Margaret von Hessen und bei Rhein, Tochter des Lords Auckland Geddes, adoptierten 1960 Moritz Prinz und Landgraf von Hessen. Seitdem trug er beide Namen, bis er 1988 den Namensteil Prinz von Hessen und bei Rhein wieder ablegte. Nach dem Krieg beschlagnahmten die Amerikaner das Schloss Friedrichshof, das heutige Schlosshotel Kronberg. Die hessischen Kronjuwelen hatte die Familie im Keller eingemauert. Der Familienschmuck wurde von einem US Besatzer und seiner Freundin, gestohlen, verkauft und nach langwierigen Verhandlungen an das Haus Hessen zurückgegeben. Allerdings war nur ein kleiner Teil der Juwelen wieder aufgetaucht. Aus diesem kleinen Teil könnten die Fragmente für dieses Diadem stammen, das bei dem Frankfurter Juwelier Koch im Januar 1958, skizziert wurde. Juwelier Koch bzw die ausführende Hanauer Juwelenschmiede Kreuter, arbeiteten nach dem Entwurf oben, ein gefälliges Diadem mit auswechselbaren Elementen, so konnte das Diadem mit den grossen 7 Smaragdtropfen und 2 runden Smaragd-Cabochons, wie auch mit 9 grossen Perlen oder mit 9 runden Ornamenten, die wie antique Knöpfe aussehen, verändert werden. Prinzessin Tatjana trug das Diadem anlässlich der Hochzeit ihres Bruders Prinz Richard von Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, im Jahr 1968, mit der dänischen Prinzessin Benedikte, in der Perlen Version. An Ihrer eigenen Hochzeit im Juni 1964, zur Brautsoiree, wurde das Diadem, erstmals gesehen. An einigen grossen Hochzeiten in der Verwandtschaft der Hessens, wurde dann die Bilder aufgenommen, in der die Version mit den Smaragden zu sehen ist.   Auf der Entwurfszeichnung, ganz oben im Bild, mit der Nummer 87659 der Firma Koch, sind die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten des Diadems gezeichnet und da heisst es Diadem mit 3 - Facher Verwendung 1 x mit Smaragden 1 x mit Perlen 1 x mit gefassten Teilen Die Smaragd Tropfen könnten früher zu der Parure gehört haben, die Margarete Landgräfin von Hessen, Prinzessin von Preussen von Ihrer Mutter der Kaiserin Friedrich zur Hochzeit erhalten hat. Die Ohrringe mit den grossen Smaragden können auch davon stammen. Prince Maurice is the eldest son of Prince Philip of Hesse and Princess Mafalda of Savoy, a daughter of the late King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy. Princess and Landgravine Tatjana of Hesse, Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, pictured above, was the wife of Moritz Friedrich Karl Emmanuel Humbert Prince and Landgrave of Hesse, head of the House of Hesse. (by shortening the civil-legal name under the sole use of the name component andgraf on and was therefore known as Moritz Landgrave of Hesse). The house of the former Grand Dukes of Hesse and the Rhine line Hesse-Darmstadt had the family name "Prince of Hesse and Rhine".
