In the picture above, Queen Mary wore a large amethyst brooch with a frame of fine scrollwork of diamonds, as a devante de corsage, along with one of the pendants from the earrings. It probably was one of her wedding gifts of 1893, which is listed as a present from M. Burdett-Coutts.
