In the weeks following the Coronation, The Queen reviewed the Royal Navy Fleet at Spithead, Portsmouth and visited Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales as part of continued celebrations.

When the King and Queen visit Aberyswyth in the year 1911, three weeks after the coronation in London, the Queen wore a new brooch, we see a round facetted important Sapphire in a setting of four bows, beween four large diamonds. It was probably a coronation gift. The press noted, her gown was light blue chiffon with hat to match and gorgeos display of pearls.

In brilliant weather the King and Queen, accompanied the Prince of Wales, visited Aberystwyth on Saturday for the purpose of laying the foundation-stone of the National Library of Wales. When erected the new building will form imposing addition the architecture of the , which already possesses the premier college of the Welsh University, University College. The site chosen lies upon high hill at the back of the town, and when completed the Library will have cost nearly £200,000, and will form, as the King said later in his speech at the College, a storehouse for the literary and historic archives oi the Welsh nation.

Upou somewhat troubled waters the beautiful bay rode the great warships of the isecond Division of the Home Fleet, gaily decked with bunting, their presence being source of great attraction to the country folk, many of whom had not had a previous opportunity of viewing a fleet of the British navy.

The Royal train reached Aberystwyth shortly alter three o’clock, when brilliant group of naval and military officer aud robed civic officials had asf-embied upon the platform, which was carpeted and ornately decorated. Among thfeyc were the Mayor and Corporation of Aberystwyth, representatives of the Cardigan magistracy and of the Cardigan County Council, General Sir W.
