Aus dem Besitz der Prinzessin Auguste Viktoria Friederike Luise Feodora Jenny von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg war die Gemahlin Kaiser Wilhelms II. und als solche von 1888 bis 1918 Deutsche Kaiserin und Königin von Preußen.
Dies Saphir Diamant Set ist nicht das historische Saphirset des Familieschmucks der Hauses Preussen- Hohenzollern.
Die Kaiserin hatte auch eine eigene Schmuck Kollection, dazu gehörten die Geschenke, die Sie zur Hochzeit und zu den Geburten, sowie sonstigen Ehrungen, überreicht bekam.
Das Saphir Collier mit Kleeblättern in Diamanten aus Saphir Cabochons, wurde ca 1905 von dem Juwelier Koch/Werkstatt Gebr Kreuter Hanau, in Platin und Gold, gefertigt.
Der Kaiser hinterliess das Kleeblatt Saphir Halsband, nun mit Ohrringen, seinem Enkel Prinz Louis Ferdinand, im Jahr 1953 wurde es von Großfürstin Kira Romanov, dessen Frau getragen.
Kira war die Tochter des Großfürsten Kyrill Wladimirowitsch Romanow (1876-1938) und dessen Ehefrau Prinzessin Victoria Melita von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha (1876-1936), der Tochter des Herzogs Alfred Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha und dessen Gattin Großfürstin Maria Alexandrowna Romanowa.
Am 4. Mai 1938 heiratete Kira in Potsdam Louis Ferdinand von Preußen (1907-1994), Sohn des früheren Kronprinzen Wilhelm von Preußen und seiner Gemahlin Cecilie von Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Das Saphir Collier war bis in die 1980er Jahren noch in der Familie und wurde einmal auch öffentlich, ausgestellt. Nach dem Tod von Prinz Louis Ferdinand, ist der Verbleib unbekannt.

The Empress also had her own jewellery collection, including the gifts she received for weddings, births and other honours.
The sapphire necklace with shamrocks in diamonds made of sapphire cabochons was made in platinum and gold by the jeweller Koch/Werkstatt Gebr Kreuter Hanau in about 1905.
Kaiser left the shamrock sapphire necklace, now with earrings, to his grandson Prince Louis Ferdinand, in 1953 it was worn by Grand Duchess Kira Romanov, his wife.
Kira was the daughter of Grand Duke Cyril Vladimirovich Romanov (1876-1938) and his wife Princess Victoria Melita of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1876-1936), the daughter of Duke Alfred Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and his wife Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna Romanova.

The sapphire necklace was still in the family until the 1980s and was once on public display. After the death of Prince Louis Ferdinand, the whereabouts are unknown.
