und Diamantschmuck aus dem Besitz der Familie Torre e Tasso, dem 2.
Ehemann der Prinzessin Eugenie von Griechenland, im Bild oben trägt
die Prinzessin das beeindruckende Saphircollier
aus 11 Saphir-Diamant-Clustern aus ovalen Saphiren und einer Bordüre
aus kissenförmigen Diamanten. Dazu passend eine Diamantbrosche
mit einem grossen Ceylon Saphir als Cabochon. Der Saphir-Cabochon ist
gerahmt von 18 kissenförmigen Diamanten. Die Saphirbrosche ist
Mitte 19.Jahrhundert datiert und hat französisch Stempel, gefertigt
in Silber und Gold, das Gewicht wird mit 24,5 Gramm beschrieben. Die
Brosche wird in Genf 2010 von Sothebys versteigert.
In 1962 at Athens at one of the grand occasions of the Greek court the
necklace of sapphires from the impressive
sapphire and diamond parure from the collection of H.S.H.Prince Carlo
della Torre e Tasso was worn by the Princess.
The brooch/clasp of sapphires and diamonds is set with a Ceylon cabochon
sapphire within a border of eighteen cushion-shaped diamonds, mounted
in silver and gold. French assay marks and partially legible maker's
marks. Mid 19th-century weight 24.5. The diamonds and sapphire brooch
will be auctioned by Sothebys Geneva in May 2010.
