The brooch given to Queen Elizabeth II was set with sapphire and the brooch given to Princess Margaret was set with rubies. Each of the girls later received a second matching brooch. the Duchess of Connaught, the photograph was taken at the Coronation of King George V1911 , 1865-1936. She is wearing her Diamond Shamrock Tiara, a wedding gift of Edward, Prince of Wales, later King Edward, her brother-in-law. We could see also her important three thiers diamond devante de corsage with fringes, probably made by CHAUMET, Paris, which she wore vefore at the coronation in 1902. The large diamond stomacher she left also to her only son Prince Arthur of Connaught. When he died, the jewels are in the possession of his wife Duchess Alexandra of Fife, Princess Arthur. “an important diamond stomacher in three sections, the largest designed as a pair of gothic shaped panels each with three larger centre stones within an open scrolling border, the fan-shaped apex also set with three larger stones, the lower section with a larger pear-shaped stone as the centre of a fan-shaped motif with scrolling borders, the pendant sections smaller but similar, the whole with diamond fringing.”

A previously undisclosed Fabergé Brooch emerged into public view when Queen Camilla adorned herself with a heritage piece of Queen Alexandra on the 11th of March, in celebration of Commonwealth Day. This remarkable piece revealed two portions of what are three components of a royal Fabergé Cloak Clasp.
