Rastede was once the summer residence of the Counts and Dukes of Oldenburg. Today, the family uses it only occasionally, for example for receptions during the Music Festival and the State Tournament – or, as now, once again for wedding celebrations. The family resides at Gut Güldenstein near Lensahn in Schleswig‑Holstein.
Hochzeit im Hause Oldenburg – Herzog Philipp von Oldenburg heiratete Fiona Kühn Lützow am 16. August 2025 auf Schloss Rastede. Die neue Herzogin von Oldenburg trug dasselbe mit Diamanten besetzte Diadem, das ihre Schwägerin, Herzogin Katharina Bibiane von Oldenburg, ein Jahr zuvor getragen hatte.
Rastede war einst die Sommerresidenz der Oldenburger Grafen und Herzöge. Heute nutzt die Familie von Oldenburg das Schloss nur noch gelegentlich, etwa für Empfänge während der Musiktage und des Landesturniers oder – wie jetzt – für Hochzeitsfeierlichkeiten. It’s the same tiara which are used from her mother Freiin Diana of Berlichingen in the year 1992 when she married Maximilian Joachim Prince to Fuerstenberg.

The Duchess of Gloucester wore the Cartier Indian Tiara when she attended the State Banquet in June 2024.
On her two row diamond rivieres she had pinned the wedding gift of the Duchess of Bedford, a large Baroque pearl brooch/pendant with diamond frame, to Queen Mary.
Three of her large daisy diamond brooches are put in front of her gown.
