Queen Alexandra, at the Duchess of Devonshire’s costume ball, is wearing another wedding present.

In 1863, she received from Queen Victoria this suite of Indian ornaments, comprising a collar, armlet and two bracelets, made from uncut emeralds, diamonds and pearls. The seven-row collar of pearl and emerald beads was hung with a multitude of pearl drops and diamond pendants, which were enamelled on the back.

The suite Indian ornaments, consisting corsage, pair bracelets, and armlet, entirely composed of pearls, emeralds, and diamonds, the gift of the Queen.
These are, indeed, " barbaric gold and genu," for all the jewels having been cut and set in India are of course ia the pure Oriental style—that is to say, the diamonds are flat and lustreless, and the fine are drilled through and spoilt by holes in fact, though the value of this present must be very great, it is much more curious than beautiful, and the much resemble coramon glass as it is ia the power of such rich and rare gems do.

„NEW“ Tsars Treasure – A mystery is this imperial diamond briolettes‘ tiara, which is on the picture of the Tsars Treasure of Tobolsk, clearly to recognize, on the large table, which was on display, together with the 154 jewel items. It was pictured but not on the jewel list. Probably it was broken in the center. Another royal briolette tiara is know from the danish royal family, which look a like it parts. See in the middle, above on the top of the pic and I believe the arches are variable to move to build arches or like these pattern on the picture. The whereabouts is unknown.

Royal Turquoise and Diamond Parure of Duchess Victoria Adelaide of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha

The marriage of Duke Charles Edward of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha with Princess Victoria Adelaide of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, was celebrated on 11 Oct 1905 in the presence of the German Emperor and Empress.

The Duke, who was the only son of the late Duke and the Duchess of Albany, had acceded to the Dukedom of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in July 1900. The bride, dressed in white silk with a veil, was led down the aisle walking between the Emperor William and her father Duke Frederick Ferdinand followed by her six bridesmaids. On either side of the bridegroom was his mother the Duchess of Albany and the German Empress.

The presents of the groom's aunt and uncle, King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, consisted of costly furniture and of a parure of diamonds for the bride. The gift of the Prince and the Princess of Wales was a silver cup and that of the Duchess of Albany a diamond parure. The Kaiser and the Kaiserin presented a service of china from KPM.

In the picture Katherine Duchess of Kent with the smaller version of the historic Cambridge Sapphire Parure, when the large tiara was sold.

The Duchess wore the smaller version of the historic sapphire and diamond parure in 1984 and 1985 at least in public.

Unfortunately the historic Cambridge sapphires and diamond set, consist of the sapphire and diamond cluster tiara, the sapphire and diamond choker, the sapphire and diamond earrings, the sapphire and diamond brooch was also sold and is not in the royal family anymore.

When the founder of the jewel house Moira died in November 2020, it came up to the light, the historic smaller parure fragments are owned by her.

Nothing is known about the cluster tiara.
