Maria Antonia Duchess of Parma, Infanta of Portugal. On 15 October 1884 at Schloss Fischorn, Maria Antonia married Robert I, Duke of Parma as his second wife. She was the mother of Empress Zita.
She is pictured with one of my favorite diamond tiaras.
Princess Irene of the Netherlands, did also wear the beautiful diamond Bourbon-Parma-Tiara, of the family of her husband. Some diamonds of the tiara are from the Duchess of Angoulême, daughter of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette, she left France in 1830 to Austria. It is said that the tiara was made in Vienna – probably by the court jeweler Köchert, like an older tiara once owned by the Duchess built in style of the XIX siecle by the jeweller of the French crown. The centerpiece is changeable.
This tiara belonged to the Bourbon-Parma family and had been deposed to a lawyer in Paris. Unfortunately it seems to have been lost actually since 1996. The Parma Tiara was trusted, at that time, to an attorney office in the late 90s by Princess Marie-Cécilie of Bourbon-Parma, while succession procedures took place. Mysteriously the tiara „got lost“ and the attorney office had to pay € 3.022.500 to the Bourbon-Parma family.

Princess Aglaë Margarete Tatiana Mary of Baden, the niece of Margrave Max of Baden married in the summer of 2019, in Amorbach, Mr Wolf of Trotha.
The bride wore a Fleur de Lys diadem and the bridal gown of her mother, the Austrian Princess Marianne von Auersperg-Breunner, from 1967, when she married Prince Ludwig of Baden, the Margrave’s brother. The 200-year-old bridal veil also comes from Auersperg-Breunner’s estate.
The diadem is a surprise from the treassures of the Baden family, because it is probably the wedding present of the Emperor Franz-Joseph of Austria, from 1900, when the then Princess Marie – Luise of Hanover, Prince Max of Baden (Prince Maximilian Alexander Friedrich Wilhelm of Baden * 10 July 1867 † 6 November 1929, 1918 was the last Chancellor of the German Empire and the last heir to the throne of the Grand Duchy of Baden), married.
From the press at that time is to be read:
Gmunden Austria, July 1900. The wedding gifts, received from Princess Marie Luise, were displayed in a small salon of Cumberland Castle on long, white-covered tables for inspection.
„Emperor Franz Joseph had sent a magnificent crown of large diamonds“ …. nothing was known, about it, for a long time.
Princess Marie-Luise, although often wore two large Fleur de Lys brooches studded with large diamonds, on her dress, as can be seen above in the picture, but the matching crown, was never seen in public.
Now a descendant of her, has solved the mystery, the tiara in the form of a diamond crown of five Fleur de Lys lilies, is still in the family, and property of the house Baden and will hopefully be seen more often now as tiara.
The court jeweler of Emperor Franz Joseph was most A.E Köchert , in this time, but also court jeweler Biedermann.

It was similar but not the same, it looks like more the earlier sketch made by Jeweler Köchert, see on top.
The daughter-in-law of Gertrude Vanderbilt Payne Whitney, sister of Gladys Moore Vanderbilt (1886–1965), who married Count László Széchenyi (1879–1938), which had very good connections to the imperial court of Vienna, so it could be absolutely true, it had an imperial history.

Diese Juwelen haben eine außergewöhnliche Qualität.
Bevor sie in Gefangenschaft kam, wickelte Marie Antoinette
ihre Perlen, Diamanten und Rubine in Baumwolle sorgfältig ein und legte sie in eine Holzkiste, die sie nach Brüssel schickte.
Von dort wurden sie nach Wien, in die Obhut des österreichischen Kaisers, ihres Neffen befördert.
Marie Antoinettes Tochter, Madame Royale, hat nach ihrer Freilassung 1795 die Juwelen dann erhalten und später an ihre Verwandten und Nichte, die Bourbon Parma Familie vermacht, bei der sie für die nächsten 200 Jahre blieben.

Ein sensationelles Paar Diamant Girandole-Ohrringe, die einst der Herzogin von Parma gehörten, stiegen fast um das 10fache und wurden bei CHF 735’000 / $729,715 zugeschlagen.

When Duchess Sophie of Württemberg weds Maximilien d’Andigné
in 2018 October 20th at lake Tegernsee,
she wore the altered Diamond Tiara from Archduchess Maria Immaculata Raineria of Austria.
Once a wedding gift the her, made by Köchert.
In 1900 the tiara was made for her imperial trousseau, it could be setted with turquoises or opals, as well as pearls and added with diamonds –
instead of the gems.
The imperial marriage present was given to the Archduchess Maria Raineria Immaculata when she weds Robert Duke of Wuerttemberg.

April 1918, es war noch Kriegszeit – entsprechend praktisch musste das kaiserliche Geschenk sein.
Das Diadem liess sich in fünf Broschen teilen und war für die Nachkriegszeit mit über 40 Karat Diamanten, kostbar und edel, die Brautmutter hatte ausserdem der Erzherzogin Hedwig, Schloss Kühtai überschrieben.
Auch die Feier auf Schloss Wallsee war nur im engsten Familienkreis…..

The diadem could be divided into five brooches and was precious and noble for the post-war period with over 40 carats of diamonds, the bride’s mother had also signed over to Archduchess Hedwig, Countess Stolberg-Stolberg,Schloss Kühtai.
Even the celebration at Schloss Wallsee was only in the closest family circle…..
